 caravan

In recent years, services for sharing and using space have emerged one after another, such as "minpaku" (private accommodations) for renting out unused rooms and "co-working spaces" that provide comfortable space and community. Behind the proliferation of these services, it seems that society is discovering the richness of " what can things achieve?" rather than owning things. It could be said that the time has come to rethink the use of public space in response to the arrival of an unprecedented era, while making good use of the space available in the city.

In the field of arts, there have been attempts to create spaces in the form of participatory art, but these are often transient events such as art festivals and art projects, and do not necessarily provide continuous opportunities for exchange. The caravan series is like a catering car selling ice cream in the city, moving from one location to another as it interacts with people, connecting them with new knowledge and new insights.

This series can be described as an enlightening device that connects people to each other or as a moving place of co-creation. Even more, the existence of this series will be a new proposal for a place for artistic activities.
